Cryotherapy for Arthritis

The initial experience was fantastic, mood elevation and mental wellbeing were and still are great.  Then I noticed no pain (or a huge reduction in pain – which is not severe but can be nagging) in my left knee even with sudden or strange twisting movements.

Whole Body Cryotherapy – How it Helped to Manage Stuart’s Arthritis

Cryotherapy was developed back in the 1970s as a safe and effective treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.

With modern electric WBC, access to this life changing therapy is now easier to access than ever before.

Our client, Stuart, tried Cryotherapy out for arthritis in his knee, and soon found it made a huge difference to his pain levels.

In Stuart’s own words:

Can you please describe the symptoms or condition you were feeling that led you to try Whole Body Cryotherapy?  How were they impacting you?

Arthritis in my right knee (A fairly new symptom) and secondary Tinnitus in my left ear.

Right knee – I have been managing by wearing my trainers (with orthotic insoles inside) all the time.  The Tinnitus I have been and continue to experiment with what affects it (Stress, caffeine – I think).

Why did you think cryotherapy could help your arthritis?

I thought that the Cryotherapy would reduce any inflammation I’m suffering in my knee – which it has.

The tinnitus I wasn’t sure about, but again if there is any nerve inflammation that could possibly affect it I thought that reducing that would be a good thing.

How did you find the initial experience? Were there any changes to your arthritis symptoms?

The initial experience was fantastic!

Mood elevation and mental wellbeing were and still are great.

Then I noticed no pain (or a huge reduction in pain – which is not severe but can be nagging) in my knee even with sudden or strange twisting movements.

Finally the next day I noticed that my Tinnitus volume (Is the only way I can explain) had reduced,  I then decided I would closely monitor this as by then I had already booked another session.

Have you developed a routine which works for you?

So today I had my 3rd session, Knee is fine!

My perception of my Tinnitus is that the volume level is still reduced, I will continue to monitor this.  I have now booked a 4th session for tomorrow.  Going forward I think either 1 or 2 sessions a week, as long as life doesn’t get in the way.

My Tinnitus (and I will keep monitoring) has seen a reduction in its volume.  It’s also worth pointing out that it is only my perception for my Tinnitus, but early signs are very encouraging.

My knee is a lot better (I didn’t realise how nagging the pain could be until it’s not there any more).
